Clariant
A worldwide producer of chemical additives which are used in products ranging from agriculture, construction, aviation to paints, textiles, plastics, and energy production. Their Phoenix Design & Innovation Center was designed to bring together clients, manufacturer's and designer in a creative setting to make design decisions about colors being used in their products and packaging. The focal point of the new design center are the color chips which are displayed in an austere environment to augment the true color value and pigment in each sample.
To support the main color studio are a series of support conference rooms and offices. In many cases, a design team will spend an entire day or several days in this space selecting colors for their products. This requires that team members can retreat to smaller meeting spaces and offices to further develop the product design as well as have a private phone call or video conference.
